Client Profiles

Rachel Allcroft...
Rachel originally set up The Jewellery Tailors in partnership with a friend. Both shared the same vision of making and sourcing jewellery which was unusual, of the highest quality and could be easily 'tailored' for the individual customer at an affordable price. Her friend later emigrated but Rachel’s belief and passion for the company remained and she decided to continue as a sole-trader.

Four years on The Jewellery Tailors provide unique Home Parties and supply various Galleries, Gift and Bridal Shops with a wide variety of unusual high quality Sterling Silver jewellery. They use Venetian glass beads, Pendants, Semi-Precious stones, Shells and Swarovski Crystals in a huge choice of colours, sizes and shapes; many of which are sourced from around the world and are previously unseen in the UK.

Rachel has worked extensively with WEI staff exploring sales and marketing avenues and has developed strong business relationships with other RBWEN members. She regularly networks with other members to share advice and information and to create
brand and product awareness.

A selection of The Jewellery Tailors’ work can be seen at the Tourist Information Centre at Touchstones, Rochdale or on her website www.thejewellerytailors.co.uk

Derna Cachia…
After being made redundant from her last job, Derna Cachia decided to use her 25 years experience in promotional work to open Promo Staff 4U, a professional personnel staffing agency that connects promoters and staff and ensures the smooth running of any campaign.

Derna's passion for promotional work is evident in her work ethic and ethos – not only does she strive to safeguard reputations by finding the best people to be brand ambassadors for the company & product, she also hopes to pass on experience and industry knowledge to even the most seasoned promotional staff.

Through word of mouth, Derna approached the Women’s Enterprise Initiative; originally to seek potential funding routes. Unfortunately this was not possible; however, Derna has utilised and benefited from the service, by attending networking events and meetings.

Derna commented “The WEI team have always be there to help me, with advice and support and even “went the extra mile” by providing bistro tables and chairs from their offices for my stand at the business to business exhibition held at Manchester Central last November“.

For further information about Promo Staff 4U contact Derna on 01706 759421, visit her website www.promostaff4u.com or book your place at the Spring 2009 RBWEN event.
